Prankster part dos

I was in Maddie's room tucking her in when
 I heard a woman screaming!!!
Wait. A. Minute. It was Kyle.
I jumped up to investigate and found this:
Kyle taking a shower covered in baby powder.
As I looked through the haze of white
 I saw the source.
Tyler snuck in and dumped the baby powder
over the top of the curtain on top
of poor Kyle.
What am I going to do with this child?
Side note: Due to said prank, the upstairs boy area smelled better than it EVER has.

Prankster

This spring break I have a mission.
We are "detailing" the kids' bedrooms.
DEEP CLEANING.
Then we are shifting kids around into different rooms.
We are being SO productive.
Until today that is.
The bunks have been separated in different rooms
so I asked Tyler to please move the one bunk
in with the other for me
while I took Maddie to get her haircut.

This is what I came home to find.
The bunk in MY BATHROOM.
holy.crap.

Perfectly assembled.
Matches the decor.
Well, maybe if I had decor.

Love these pranksters.
Sort of.
What kind of brain
operates in this way??
I can't stop laughing.
At least until I have to hurdle the bed to use the toilet.

Busted!

Yes. It was only a matter of time.
I've been driving with an expired inspection tag since JUNE.
(poor Loser Cruiser can't pass :(
My rear tail light has been burned out for weeks.

I was out doing visiting teaching interviews
and I passed a police officer going the opposite direction.
Looking in my rearview mirror, I cringed
as he flipped around and moved in behind me.
A stop sign was coming up...
I weighed my options.
Run it-  as not to expose my burned out tail light?
Hmmmm.....
Or hit the breaks?
Choosing option two....I stopped.

Sure enough -POLICE LIGHTS.
BUSTED!!
An image of Jack Bauer came to mind and I started sweating.
It disappeared quickly though, as a bald (LOVE bald dudes),
sweet officer came to my driver's side window.
"I pulled you over for a couple of reasons today, ma'am,"
he said politely. (Reasons mentioned above).
I've been ticket free for FIVE YEARS.  Count 'em---FIVE.
That's a record for me.  Mr. Officer went through the motions.
  Left me guessing.
He came back with a WARNING! (she sighs in relief)
As I related this tale during my VT interview the sister
was convinced I must have had a
halo above my head-- being on the Lord's errand and all.

Halo or no halo, the Loser Cruiser is going in the shop Friday.

Eternally grateful

Seems impossible that it has been
18 years since I married my best friend.
I couldn't have found a more perfect match.
I gained a bunch more family!
Eternally grateful to have been sealed in the temple.
Eternally grateful for the chance to learn and grow with him.
Eternally grateful for the four miracles that have come to us.
Eternally grateful to be his...
Eternally.

Something in the air...

The cool breeze today reminds me of a
beautiful SUMMER day in Camas, WA.
I love it.
Soft cool grass.
I miss it.
Sweet, sweet friends.
Truly amazing how the soft cool air
can bring back so many memories!
Sweet Rydger sitting on our front lawn in WA.
(sorry - pic quality not so good...)
